Meet the Author

(30 minutes, Grades K-5)

I’ll tell the students a little bit about myself, read one of my books, and in the remaining time, answer students’ questions about writing and revising, my publication journey, and what it’s like to be an author.

$200 honorarium plus travel expenses (Honorarium can be waived with a minimum purchase of 20 books from a bookstore of your choice).

My Writing Process

(45 minutes, Grades K-5)

I’ll pull the covers back on the process I go through to write a publishable book from inspiration through polished story (for grades K-2) and through sale to a publisher (for grades 3-5). Then afterwards, I will read one of my books including lessons in SEL, ELA, and science if applicable. In the time remaining, I’ll answer students’ questions about my books and my writing process.
